Field Gun display.
The Volunteer Cadet Corps Field Gun Competition is an exciting display involving boys and girls from the Portsmouth naval bases of HMS Sultan, HMS Collingwood, and HMS Excellent (Royal Marines).
The equipment the cadets use is the original 7lb muzzle loading field guns used in the late nineteenth century at the Battle of Ladysmith. The display includes a demonstration run and a fast timed competition run which represents an attack on simulated enemy. There are up to three teams available, each with a complement of up to nineteen cadets.
This is a competitive, tough, thrilling display involving discipline and teamwork. Two or three teams make for a good display.
£550 per team per day
