Six Piece Latin Band
If you are looking for "Latin American Rhythms", then this is definitely the
band!
"Bahareque" have built up a strong following and acquired a high profile
in the UK Latin community, but now play increasingly at a wide range of
non-Latin events - Festivals, receptions, private parties, conferences,
corporate gatherings, Oxbridge Balls and the like. The three girls and two of
the male members of the band are from Latin America, plus one Brit on
Venezuelan and Paraguayan Harps. The other instruments include the
(Venezuelan) cuatro, the (Andean) charango, flute, pan-pipes, guitars and
assorted percussion. They sing and play songs and themes from Mexico to Chile
and just about everywhere in between.
Their new CD, "Shout To The World" received excellent reviews.
There is no other line-up in the UK with
quite the variety of nationalities and repertoire offered by "Bahareque".
