Markasa
Markasa is a Bolivian folk band playing traditional music from the Andes.
The band has performed at many music festivals and events in the United Kingdom. They play a wide variety of South American instruments, including different types of zamponas (pan pipes) ranging from the smallest, called ch'ully (approx 13cm long) to the largest, called toyos (approx 135cm long), quena (a bamboo flute without a mouthpiece), charango (a small ten-stringed ukelele-type instrument) and drums.
They wear traditional Andean costume for their performances.
They are a charming and unique experience.
